“They talk of my drinking but never my thirst.
– Scottish proverb”
A short one today as I am off to celebrate my grandmother’s 100th birthday and yes she drinks wine.
Last night we had bingo; wine and port were flowing; people were toasting, laughing and sharing moments. Could all of this have happened without wine & libations, of course, but wine increases the sincerity of moments. Don’t believe me, tell me otherwise next time you sip a glass of red wine and look at someone you love in a candle lit room. Last night I watched a group of people inhale life and joy and exhale camaraderie. Perhaps a sip of wine allows us to expose ourselves a bit more and what night is not better when we expose ourselves to another?
I thirst for life and I make no apologies for the vessel that allows me to quench my thirst.
Off to celebrate a goddess, cheers all.
