My back is sore.\u00a0 Both my daughters wanted to sleep in our bed last night and they basically kick us out to the edges.\u00a0 How incredibly lucky am I?\u00a0 I have two little girls who when conscious, think it is the coolest thing ever to sleep next to mom and dad.\u00a0 So this sore back is a beautiful reminder of one of the best aspects of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps after a night of festivities and friends, the slight exhaustion we feel the next day is a gift\u2014a reminder of how lucky we all our for the people in our life. Now, don\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019m not every day is sunshine and unicorns, I think a lot of things suck, I was hoping for the Bills or Lions to win today(I love an underdog). I just want to make sure I don\u2019t miss the wonderful due to worrying about the petty. My back will feel better, but my window with my girls thinking I\u2019m super cool will close\u2026and will close soon and with a loud thud. As it should, although I do let them know they can live with Papa forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So maybe your head will hurt tomorrow, maybe your team will not win today and maybe the nachos and wings will make you gassy.\u00a0 I challenge you to appreciate the headache because it exists due to the fact that you have family and friends with whom to celebrate.\u00a0 Maybe you will be tired at work, but you will be tired because you have a life in which you can take a day to lazily watch others beat on their bodies for a living.\u00a0 And maybe your spouse will have kicked you out of the bedroom due to eye watering flatulence, but it will exist because you could afford the cost of great tasting, really nasty foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enjoy the ultimate capitalist holiday today, enjoy and cherish those around you and tomorrow take just a moment to appreciate the scars of a life well lived and loved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
